The RPL Tissue BioBank is a collaboration between the RPL Clinic at BC Women’s Hospital and the BC Children’s Hospital BioBank. It serves as a secure and ethically governed repository for biological samples collected from patients who experience miscarriage during the course of their care at the RPL Clinic and who have provided informed consent.
Participation is offered to individuals already enrolled in the ProRPL Registry. In the event of a miscarriage, patients may choose to contribute tissue samples for research purposes. Only products of conception may be collected as part of this initiative.
These tissue samples are linked to curated, de-identified clinical datasets, allowing researchers to explore genetic, molecular, and cellular factors that may contribute to RPL. All samples and data are handled according to rigorous ethical standards and may be shared only with research studies in Canada and globally that have received prior ethics approval.
