Resident involvement in research is a core component of the OB/GYN residency program. All residents are expected to complete a research project in manuscript form prior to graduation and to present their work on two occasions, including at least once at the Annual Departmental Academic Day.
The Early Pregnancy Research Lab is committed to supporting OB/GYN residents in fulfilling their research requirements as part of the residency program. Residents are encouraged to participate in ongoing clinical and translational research projects within the lab, with opportunities to develop projects focused on early pregnancy, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, and related women’s health topics.
Residents interested in conducting their research with the Early Pregnancy Research Lab are welcome to contact Dr. Mohamed Bedaiwy for more information about available opportunities, supervision, and project alignment. To express interest, please email Dr. Bedaiwy (mohamed.bedaiwy@cw.bc.ca) and include a brief statement of interest, your CV, and an unofficial transcript.
