About Us

The Early Pregnancy Research Laboratory is dedicated to the scientific study of early pregnancy and associated clinical conditions, with a primary focus on recurrent pregnancy loss. The research team is committed to advancing evidence-based knowledge and addressing key gaps to improve understanding and inform future clinical approaches in this area of reproductive health.

All team members have undergone comprehensive training in research ethics and professionalism, including adherence to the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2). Research activities are conducted under strict approvals from the University of British Columbia and the Hospital Research Ethics Board.

Mission

The mission of the Early Pregnancy Laboratory is to advance scientific understanding, clinical management, and public awareness of complications arising in early pregnancy, with particular emphasis on recurrent pregnancy loss. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and integration of patient-centered research with clinical expertise, the laboratory is committed to driving the development and implementation of evidence-based strategies that enhance clinical care and improve patient outcomes.
